Andrew Granado

Andrew recently graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a degree in Music Studies. While at UTSA he studied Euphonium under the guidance of John Caputo and Gary Poffenbarger. He was also a member of the Tuba/Euphonium ensemble, the inaugural Brass Quintet, the Spirit of San Antonio (SOSA), and the UTSA Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Ron Ellis. In addition to his studies, he worked with several marching bands in the San Antonio area including the Sandra Day O’Connor High School band and the Claudia Taylor Johnson High School Band.
Recently Mr. Granado was a substitute teacher at Byron P. Steele High School in San Antonio, Texas. During his time there he led their two Concert Band ensembles in preparation for their Spring Concert and gave lessons to several students in the ensemble.
In 2017 & 2019 Mr. Granado marched Baritone and Euphonium for the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps. In 2018 he marched at the Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps and is currently on staff as an Administration Assistant for the 2023 season.
Mr. Granado is incredibly happy to be starting his second year with the Brazoswood High School Buccaneer Band!
