Mr. Drew is entering his third year of teaching and first year with the Buccaneer Band! Mr. Drew holds a degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas, where he studied Euphonium with Dr. David Childs, and music education with Dr. Crystal Gerrard, Dr. Mark Montemayor, and Dr. Donna Emmanuel

While at North Texas, he performed with a variety of ensembles including the world-renowned Wind Studies program, 8 o’clock Steel Drum Ensemble, 7 o’clock Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble, 8 o’clock Jazz Lab band, as well as numerous chamber ensembles. He was also a member of the Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps in 2019, and is dedicated to the marching arts. Mr. Drew is still an active performer as a pianist around the Houston/Clear Lake area.

As an educator, Mr. Drew has had the opportunity to work with and learn from several exceptional programs with proven histories of success throughout the D/FW metroplex and south-Houston area. Prior to joining the team at Brazoswood, he was the Assistant Band Director at Alvin Junior High in Alvin, Tx. He was also a field technician for the Southlake Carroll High School Marching Band and the Anna High School Marching Band.

Mr. Drew is extremely excited to begin his first year working with the Buccaneer Band! He aims to promote an inclusive, innovative environment and share his passion for teaching and music with students.
